Dear Black Point Friends and Neighbors,
Jack Voelker, our friendly, helpful provider of excellent mail service to all of us here at Black Point, retired in December, 2016.
We would like to acknowledge his wonderful, devoted service! Many Black Pointers show their appreciation to Jack at Christmas, however, many of our neighbors who are not here in December may not be aware of his retirement.
We are planning a coffee and cake reception to celebrate Jack’s retirement on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at the clubhouse from 10:00 AM to Noon.
In addition, we will be collecting monetary contributions for a combined gift from Black Pointers to be presented to Jack at this reception. A list of contributors will be given to Jack, with no individual dollar amount listed, and your name will not be included if you wish to remain anonymous.
His wife had a retirement party for him with family and friends, and after discussing this reception with her, he clearly does not need liquor or other gifts! Therefore, the monetary gift seems to be the best appropriate option!
If you wish to contribute, please send a check to Sandy Sheehan, make check payable to Sandra Sheehan, and send your contribution to Sandy at 18 Indianola Road, Niantic, CT 06357, by April 15th, 2017. Also, please let us know if you will be attending the reception. We will be sending this invitation to the Women’s Club, the Men’s Club, and it will be posted on the BP web site.
