Comedy Night (fundraiser for Women’s Club)

Mark your calendars for a night of non-stop laughter at the 3rd Annual Black Point Comedy Night! We are thrilled to bring you a lineup featuring three fantastic comedians who will keep you in stitches all night long!
This year’s event is hosted by the incredibly talented Desi Walker, who has opened for Chris Rock and was a finalist for “Connecticut’s Funniest Comedian.” This fundraiser, which is only $30 a ticket, helps us to continue to do our community activities at minimal cost.
Opening Act:
Whitney Allen: A standout performer along the East Coast, Whitney has showcased her talents at NYC’s The Stand for the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest, Hartford’s Funny Bone, and Comix Roadhouse. She also brings her comedic writing experience from the Hot Coffee Sketch Show and Peculiar Radio podcast.
Headliners:
Vincent McElhone: He has performed on many stages, including at The Comedy Store in San Diego, The Tropicana in Las Vegas, Improv Comedy Club in Miami Beach, Mohegan Sun, and Catch a Rising Star and Caroline’s Comedy Club in NYC. He has lived in Connecticut since he turned ten. Due to an Irish Catholic upbringing, his stage persona reflects his self-deprecating demeanor as well as a very conservative view on marriage, kids, politics, sports, travel, current events, family upbringing, and all other influences that have forced him to express his hilarious and genuine observations. He offers a great mix of topical humor and quick wit, with a touch of sarcasm.
Angel Rentas: Hailing from Connecticut, Angel began his stand-up career to fund his studies at Quinnipiac University and is now a Nurse Practitioner at Hartford Hospital. His comedy, inspired by his multicultural family and unique life experiences, has earned him spots at the Boston Comedy Festival (Best of the Fest), North Carolina Comedy Festival, Coors Light Comedy National Competition (Finalist), and the Latino Kings of Comedy Laugh Festival.
