BOG meeting, April 23: Clarification and Procedure
Dear Members,
As many of you know, the BOG must adopt a budget without a public vote this year (see “Budget Adoption Announcement” posted April 4 on the website). With the help of legal council, we have arrived at a procedure which will allow for as much membership participation as possible.
At the April 23 BOG meeting, the proposed budget will be reviewed, but not adopted. The meeting will be held via teleconference, and members will be recognized to speak during Public Comments. Following the BOG vote to present the proposed budget and mill rate for membership review and comment, the results will be posted on the association website.
The BOG vote to adopt the budget and mill rate for 2020-2021 will take place during the May 28 meeting, and results posted on the website.
The current proposed budget is posted. If changes are made to the proposal, that will be posted following the April 23 meeting.
To access the April 23 BOG meeting at 6PM, call in at (425) 436-6363, using either landline or cell phone. When asked for a pin, it is 436260. After a brief wait, you will hear the proceedings. When it is time for Public Comments, instructions for “raising your hand” will be provided by the Chair.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on our website.
Following the meeting, comments from the membership are welcome at bog@blackpointbeachclub.com. These will be reviewed and considered prior to the May 28 BOG vote to adopt.
