The Fishbait Classic has been an annual event for over 30 years at South Beach on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The tradition was founded by a few avid sailing families in the neighborhood who uphold the tradition with each generation. A few Main Beach sailors caught wind of the event and joined the fleet. The rules – wait, there are no rules. The boaters can paddle or obstruct other boaters with safe, goofy pirating. Great group of neighbors and a lot of fun. There were 8 boats this year but the audience agreed that we are going to have more fun sailing events at Black Point throughout the summer of 2015. Why wait until it’s over?
