Label your kayaks
Please label all your kayaks and other watercraft that might be stored at our various beach locations. Contact Cheryl Colangelo, 860-691-0150, to obtain a sticker for all of your watercrafts. It was published in The Day in 2011 that it cost the Coast Guard $4000 to launch their newest rescue response boats and double that for deploying a helicopter looking for a lost boater and this is taxpayers money. So please take a minute or two to label your boats before leaving them at any beach location.
Group Paddles
Black Point Beach Club has an active group of kayakers who make regular paddles together each week. We will try to post the kayak paddles on the calendar (in green), but if you are interested in receiving regular emails from Will regarding meetups, carpools, and paddle destinations, please email Will with your contact info.
