Black Point residents should monitor Channel 22 for updates on Hurricane Earl throughout the duration of the storm. Channel 22 is a local Public Broadcast TV station which runs special announcements from police and other civil preparedness organizations.
The Annual Informational Meeting will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 9:00a.m., at the Clubhouse. We will be serving coffee with donuts. Please join us!

On Friday, September 24th at 7:30 P.M. at the clubhouse the Men's Club is sponsoring an End of Summer Dance. All adult Black Pointers are welcome. Tickets are $10 and can be obtained at the door or in advance from Pete DiResta @860-739-7927 or John Campion@ 860-739-8161. Bring your favorite beverage and hors d'oeuvres. Keep the summer going and dress like you're in the Islands.
BPBC is searching for a Recreation Program Director for the
2011 summer program. The Director is responsible for planning
the program’s theme for the summer, planning and implementing
daily (M -Th.) activities for all attending children ages 3-13,
daily (M- Th.) swimming lessons, special Friday events, weekly
movies on the beach, end of season swim races and talent show,
hiring all counselors, selecting all volunteers, purchasing all
supplies within the appropriated budget, managing all volunteers
and counselors, communicating with parents or guardians,
delivery of the Black Pointer, advertising the program and
events thru the BP website, Black Pointer and postings around
the neighborhood, and collecting all fees for the program. The
Recreation program lasts seven weeks beginning the last Monday
in June. The program runs from 9:30 to 11:30 Monday thru
Thursday. Swimming lessons are held at Main beach from 12:30 –
1:30 Monday thru Thursday.
The ideal candidate will have experience planning and managing a
youth recreation program. Candidates should also possess
excellent communication skills, experience managing adolescents,
creativity, and the ability to motivate and energize counselors
and volunteers on a daily basis. Strong organization skills are
a must. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. Please

experience and ideas for how you might improve the BP Recreation

The Black Point Men’s Club is starting its second season. The purpose of the club is to provide social and civic activities for men living in Black Point. The Men's Club will offer recreational and social activities. It will take advantage of our local resources and also support worthwhile projects that benefit the members of the Black Point Community. Men of all ages who are interested in socializing and recreating with fellow Black Pointers are invited to join. Dues are $20.00 per year. The first meeting of the year will be held on June 16th 2010 at 7:30 PM at the club house. Kayak Trips
The Second Kayak Trip of the Season will be
leaving from the BP Kayak launch on Old Black Point Road at
8:30 AM on June 23rd. All Black Pointers can join. The
pace will be slow, bring your own Kayak and life vest.
Bocce Night
The Men's Club Bocce League is having an open bocce play at
the club house on Friday June 25th at 7:00 PM. Any one
interested in learning how to play Bocce should attend.
Black Point Bocce League
The Black Point Bocce League is in its second season under the sponsorship of the BP Men’s Club. League play will be held on Friday mornings during the season, in addition an evening or weekend schedule is under consideration. If you are interested in playing, please contact Jim Pillion at (860) 739-4292. Teams are co-ed and NO experience is needed in order to play.

that the Town of East Lyme has instituted new
regulations for Mooring Fees and Mooring
Inspections. It is the boat owner’s
responsibility to comply with any and all
regulations, copies of which are available to
download from the Town of East Lyme, Harbor
Management/Shellfish commission website, or
