The Black Point
Bocce League completed its highly successful inaugural
season with its 1st championship playoff on Friday September
25, 2009. Six Co-ed teams of 4 players each competed
throughout the summer in a round robin tournament. The team
of Paul Cianci, Pat Campion, Margaret Pillion and Jack Tine
completed the season undefeated and won the BP Bocce League
Championship.
The BP Bocci League held its first annual awards banquet at
the Clubhouse on October 2nd. Players feasted on grinders
and fried dough.

The BP Men's Club has completed
construction of the Bocci Court at the clubhouse and is
looking forward to the remainder of the season. The
following activities are planned.

Men's Club News
The Black Point Men’s Club has started its first season. The purpose of the club is to provide social and civic activities for men living in Black Point. The Men's Club will offer recreational and social activities. It will take advantage of our local resources and also support worthwhile projects that benefit the members of the Black Point Community.
Men of all ages who are interested in socializing and recreating with fellow Black Pointers and are invited to join. Dues are $20.00 per year.
The Men’s Club is planning the following activities for Summer 2009:
Weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM at the clubhouse

August 12 - Defender’s Game - Family Night

New Bocci Court Opening Reception
The opening reception for the new bocci court was held 7/22/2009. Everyone enjoyed the reception and demonstration. About 50 adults and 15 children attended.Bocci Comes to Black Point
Have you noticed the activity and construction going on in the field up at the Clubhouse? Are you wondering what's going on?
It's a BOCCI COURT! Regulation size, state of the art, and available for all members of the BP Beach Association, the new addition to our recreational facilities will provide an opportunity for some moderate exercise, good fun, and social activity for our members.
For the past month members of the newly formed BP Men's Club have been planning, designing and constructing the new court. The “crew” consists of John Campion, Paul Cianci, Pete DiResta, Will Fountain, Tom Hayes, Dan Lemieux, Jim Pillion, Jack Tine, and Paul Vozzella. Professional support was provided by Phil of Classic Concrete.
Join us for the formal opening of the court on Wednesday, July 22 at 7pm. There will be a demonstration and explanation of the game. All are invited.
