Member Comments
Pat Hayden, 48 Sea Breeze Ave., expressed her opinion that the charter changes are appropriate, they reflect 2008 membership concerns, updated from the 1931 original charter.
Mrs. Barbara Johnston, 35 Sea Crest Ave., agreed with the age change from 21 to 18 years of age. Mrs. Johnston disagreed with renters’ rights to hold office and vote. As regards property held in trust, she noted if names are not on the deed, members are making a choice based on how the charter currently stands.
Mr. Campion addressed the number count of eligible members from the fact sheet provided by the charter commission. Some discussion followed.
No further comments were heard Mr. Campion closed the Public Hearing at 7:15pm.
